Psychic Dependency

Personally I think this is the worst form of manipulation and exploitation of another human being one can use for their own personal gain. So, I have compiled some information about it, so hopefully if you see yourself or someone else who may be vunerable to this type of thing, you can become aware of it and find solutions for it, that do not involve you becoming broke and feeling very exploited.

Yes, it is actually a technique some will use in order to get clients and drain out someone’s pocket book.

These people will search out people who are vunerable because they have a need, or feel out of control in an area of their life. They will say and do whatever it takes to fill that void, that feeling of being out of control, or promise that through them and what they do… they can change it all and get what they want. Pretty much they will become ” what you need” , as long as you keep paying them. They may never actually help you, or bring any resolve into that area of your life. Why would they? They don’t truly want to give you the answers, or the solutions because if you no longer ” needed” them, they wouldn’t be ” needed” anymore and with your resolving of your situation, also goes any money you may be able to give them. So, their goal isn’t to help or bring you to resolve but to work on a need you already have and make it larger, so you form a dependence on them. Once they have that, they have your money and that is really the only goal they have.

One thing to remember when seeking out a psychic is what your initial goal is… isn’t it to find “truth” find solutions? Remember that and don’t let it get lost on your journey. If a psychic isn’t offering you truth, and resolve and solutions aren’t coming, it’s time to leave. What are you paying them for exactly if what your initial goal isn’t being meant? To be lead around with lies, manipulation and never ending ” insights” that aren’t helpful or leading you to the quickest resolve possible, you are not being good to yourself, or your soul/spirit/spiritual nature. You are in fact allowing a toxic energy in to diease those parts of you with their greed and their desires for money only.

A good way to look at this is to really examine who your psychic is… are they becoming ” bigger” than you in your life? Is your need for them outweighting you? In other words are you putting more stock in their words, and in their being in your life then you are on your own instincts and your own thoughts or insights? If you said yes, this is someone trying not to help you but to have you become dependent on them.

What you want in a psychic is someone who will help you and helping means:

Putting you first

Giving you the truth, even if it’s a hard truth ( in a compassionate, understanding and constuctive way)

Encouraging and nurturing your independence, your strengths your abilities to do for yourself things that will bring about the goals you desire

Someone who leads you to answers quickly, and resolve ( you should not be or feel baited into more sessions, longer sessions -when paying by minutes, only given answers or solutions if you spend so much or keep coming back)

Someone who is there when you need them and gives you what you desire … in that session or reading, if you go into a reading, session whatever it should: 1. Answer your specific questions ( then) 2. Give advice ( then) and advice ” rarely” leads to more sessions not Always leads to more, 3. You leave feeling as if you gained something, not lost something or got nothing at all 4. Solutions, plans, a direction.. clearly mapped for you, you shouldn’t be confused, or without clarity, if you are… that wasn’t a good psychic.
5. Most of all the psychic is willing to work with you again, maybe hoping if you need more you will think of them but isn’t PUSHING it. They are ready and able to let you go … better for the experience with them. They aren’t working you or using you or manipulating you.

Signs you are becoming or are dependent.

1. Spending more money then you can afford
2. Seeking out psychics ( asking more then 1 the same things over and over)
3. Afraid of making decisions on your own,or needing them in every decision you make
4. Sitting in wait ( not living your everyday life without worry) for the predictions to come true
5. Visitng or consulting more then one psychic in the same time frames
6. Running from psychic to psychic ( with sense of ugency within you)

It is like an addiction and you need to address it like one.

Why Free Readings are Vital!

Some psychics do free “Mini” or ” short” readings and if they are doing this service, it’s important to try it before actually purchasing anything from them.

I would not be so bold to suggest that it means they are the ” true psychics”…. there are many even famous Psychics that wouldn’t do that on the internet especially who are definately “true psychics”. There are some that give away free readings and they aren’t true psychics at all. So this alone wouldn’t tell us if they were true or not. The only reason for taking advantage of that service when it is offered is so you can see if that psychic is right for you.

People can be great but personalities clash, or energy can clash. Even between two seemingly wonderful people, but for whatever reason their energy clashes. It is bad if this happens with psychic you have paid for. It’s not only bad for you but for the psychic as well, it’s not what they hope for or desire to have happen. So, if you see a offering of a free reading, take them up on it.

It will ensure they can work with you and your energy, in a way that is right for you. It also is a good way to make sure they are what you need and expect as well.

I would say that free readings are vital for the person who is getting their readings mainly online from people they otherwise do not know. Anyone can write about themselves anything, even some unthinkable things like creating faux reviews of themselves and their work. We just wouldn’t know if it’s true or not, we want to believe it is because in general people want to trust and believe in others. When exploited that can be a bad thing. So if this is your way of obtaining readings don’t look at prices, low doesn’t mean bad, and high doesn’t mean good… look for those giving free readings .. try them out, see for yourself .. your gut usualy is correct in these matters and go from there. Trust your instincts not the promises made ( if any) and go from there. Making sure you have read something on spotting good psychics from bad ones as well.

Why don’t you charge more for what you do?

The answer is simple, because we aren’t trying to rip people off.

I have found that in “most cases” people ask a lot for their services, because they aren’t going to give you much, a way of a true in-depth detailed reading or service. They know it’s a “one shot deal”. If they don’t get as much from you as possible when they can, there will be no second chances. You will be stuck with whatever you get and that is the end of it. They make off with a substanial profit and you take whatever you can from the often times ( pre made reading, given to 100’s of people, edited only with your name or few details you provided them such as DOB information). They will have pre made Love Reading responses, Career Reading responses, etc.

We actually do all we do and is unique and different for each person, indepth and all for a very reasonable gift offering because we aren’t going anywhere. We want you to be a “repeat” user and not only have the option of a service etc. but also to become part of our community. Learn, grow, experience, make friends be part of something much more. We do not want to hit your pocket and run, or try to rob you while we have your attention, we aren’t sales people, we are “psychics”.

Fake Psychics and How to Identify Them

On Eternal Mystic we are going to dedicate an entire section detailing how to spot a psychic scammer or con artist. (These are those very unethical people who will say they are psychic and try to scam you out of money or material goods in exchange for their services.) How to deal with them, and how to avoid getting caught up in their shenanigans.

Here we will briefly detail some of the things to look out for so you have some idea of how to tell the real psychics from the con artists.

1. The Out of This World Reading….. this is actually a technique used by the fake psychics. They get their clients by suggesting that they have “supernatural” abilities. Not psychic abilities mind you, but supernatural abilities.

2. Cold Readings…. the fake psychic will come off cold and unemotional, detached. This is a fake psychic. A true psychic is highly sensitive, and you have a good feeling around them. Let your feelings guide you, if you feel this person is detached, cold, insensitive or distant…. they are not a true psychic.

3. Psychic Attackers…. this is the person you will turn to for help and guidance, and instead you will be meant with negativity. They may tell you only horrific things will happen to you… you are going to have an accident or die. Your loved ones on the other side are mad at you and are hurting you in some way… and the worst ones will have a solution for you too, of course this solution will cost you an arm and a leg and take forever to end, so they are able to get richer off of the fears they have instilled in you.

4. The Evil Psychic….. these are the people who will tell you point blank, you have a curse on you, people hate you, you need to be cleansed in order to stop all of this and again will go on to offer you their services to rid yourself of these things, and that will cost you hundreds if not thousands to take care of.

5. Psychic Babble….. this is a person who speaks metaphorically, or using ” New Age” terms you never heard of or have heard but don’t truly understand all to ” appear” as if they are something they aren’t. A true psychic will speak to you so you 1. understand what they are telling you, and 2. in terms you can understand and comprehend. True psychics are down to earth people who happen to have the extraordinary sensory perception ( ESP).

6. Make You Feel Goods ….. these are the people who will basically tell you whatever it is they think you desire to hear. This way you like them and come back over and over to “purchase” their services. If you want a good friend you can do that without paying for it. A good psychic will tell you what they see psychically and when its not what you want to hear are sensitive and caring and compassionate in their delivery of that news, but they will tell you. Watch out for the ” Golden Goose’ if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

7. Totally Psycho Psychics……. forgive the definition but these psychics are control freaks, manipulative, use mind control and intimidate, they use their methods to harm, hurt and emotionally harm those they come in contact with. Anyone who is “telling you what to do “, and ” telling you how to act” around them or in your personal life… like a dictator is NOT a true psychic. The choice will always be yours, you always have your own will and your own freedom to take from the readings what you do. No one has the right to get into you head and mess around with you in anyway emotionally, or psychologically. That is not psychic, its psycho.

8. Dependance Necessary…… any psychic who makes you feel as if you can’t live without them in your life is not a true psychic. You are a grown adult and are dependent on no one. You may desire and choose to speak with or use the services of a psychic, that is your choice. But you do not NEED one for every choice you make. Anyone who makes you feel as if you need a reading, or some sort of psychic spoon feeding everyday in order to achieve happiness or whatever it is you desire, is exploiting you for your money. You may have times when you need more services then usual, but the psychic will not make you feel that on purpose, when they are trying to make you feel as if you absolutely need them, it’s time to find someone new, what you have isn’t a true psychic.

9. Leading Psychics…… this is the person who actually leads you into what they need to know in order to feed back to you something that “appears” psychic and is not. True psychics do not need a ton of information, or chats with you to ” get to know you”. The true psychic will take as little information from you as possible, such as first names, DOB ( astrological information can be very helpful to some psychics) and perhaps a photo or something like that and of course your question(s). That really is about it. When they need last names, all sorts of information they can be googling you up among just getting enough information about you to throw together what ” appears” to be a psychic connection. When in fact all that really occurred was they looked you up, or took all the indicators they could to get a good idea of the person you are and feed that back to you. Appearing a great psychic and as they read you… allow you to talk and talk so they can learn more and more and simply feed it all back to you. I have found with true psychics less is more. When we are getting too much information about a person it interfers with our psychic field because our own intellectual mind starts becoming bias and we want to remain unbias during our readings.

10. Read your Psychic…….. Look at your psychic if you can see a photo of them, or you can watch them in action working do so. If they are in a “custom” unless it’s halloween beware… no true psychic has to get in fancy dress just to impress and ” appear” to be something they already are.

Beware of a messy unkept psychic if they look unkept and messy they aren’t working from a good place if they are truly working from it at all. Being in a nice surrounding, being clean and tidy is a great way to pull in the energy you need in order to work effectively.

If they are using substances.. drugs, alcohol or such while doing their readings, they are not true psychics.

If they are acting unprofessional or talking to you during a reading in a condesending manor or any manor that comes across to you like they are unprofessional then they are, and I would find a new psychic to work with immediately.

11. If you have paid for a service and you are not met with professional service then you need to wonder what you are paying for. A true psychic will be prepared and ready for you and your questions or session you have arranged. They will be on time or reply to your emails promptly as they indicate they will. If they are late or untimely with their responses they aren’t a true psychic, but rather business persons.

Remember you are a paying customer and you can and should demand quality services. You are a custom and if you aren’t being treated in an appropriate manor, or aren’t getting what you were promised, or what you believed you would receive from your services you have every right to … get what you asked for, complain or even demand your money back. A true psychic will work with you to make sure your experience is a good one and you leave having received what you intended and were promised to receive.

Hello Penqueno,

I have just read your comment and do have a answer for you. It sounds as if you were near the location of a “portal”. This is a place where the energy of those who have past or where enities enter and leave our plane. It sounds as if while you were there activity was taking place. And what you were seeing was the accumilation of the energy because either many were coming and going at that time, or there was enough energy in one of the deceased or one of the enities that you were able to see the energy, that appeared as if fog. Usually this suggests negative energy of some sort, though without being there it is hard to tell if indeed it’s negative or not.
